DETAILS

National Ballet of Japan is joining forces with the Australian Ballet to present Christopher WHEELDON's highly-acclaimed "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", first performed by the Royal Ballet in 2011. Based on the famous story by Lewis CARROLL', this is a ballet in three acts choreographed by Christopher WHEELDON with a scenario by Nicholas WRIGHT, music by Joby TALBOT and designed by the award-winning Bob CROWLEY. The humour-laced expressive dance and the set combining colourful pop art with the latest lighting and video technology have become a major talking point as an emerging masterpiece in the new-era. At present, only six of the world's best ballet companies have "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" in their repertoire and the National Ballet of Japan is proud to be the only ballet company in Japan to have obtained permission to perform this work.
