Privacy Policy
The New National Theatre Foundation (hereinafter referred to as "the NNTF"), in addition to abiding by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other relevant laws and statutes and acquiring and using the information the NNTF handles in an appropriate manner, hereby declares that the NNTF shall take necessary and appropriate measures to manage the safety of the personal information in its possession.
- The NNTF, when handling personal information, shall specify the purpose of its use, and in addition to issuing a notification or announcement, shall use the information only insofar as is required to fulfill said purpose.
- The NNTF, except in cases where consent is received in advance from the person in question or if required by laws and regulations, shall handle personal information only insofar as is required to fulfill the specified purpose, and do so in an appropriate manner.
- The NNTF may transfer or receive personal information from within the EU within the scope of the purpose of use. However, the NNTF shall ensure that adequate measures are taken to safeguard personal information in compliance with laws and regulations, etc.

The NNTF shall take the following security control measures to ensure that personal information is properly managed.
- Establishment of a basic policy
In order to properly manage personal information, the NNTF has established a privacy policy in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information. - Development of rules pertaining to the handling of personal information
The NNTF has developed personal information handling regulations that set out how personal information is obtained, used and stored, etc. - Organizational security control measures
The NNTF has appointed a personal information protection management officer, and we have developed a reporting system for reporting to the protection management officer when we detect a breach or signs of a breach of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or our Personal Information Handling Regulations. - Personnel security control measures
The NNTF provides the necessary education and training, etc. for officers and employees engaged in the handling of personal information to deepen their understanding of the handling of personal information and to raise their awareness concerning the safeguarding of personal information. - Physical security control measures
The NNTF takes measures to limit the use of equipment and electronic media and to prevent the theft or loss of documents, etc. in operations that handle personal information. - Technical security control measures
The NNTF has mechanisms in place to safeguard information systems that handle personal information from unauthorised access or illegal software. - Understanding the External Environment
Should personal information be processed in a foreign country, the NNTF shall understand the personal information protection legislation, etc. of that country and take necessary and appropriate measures for to safeguard the management of information, in accordance with laws and regulations.
- Establishment of a basic policy

The NNTF may share personal information with specific persons or entities. In this case, a notification or announcement shall be issued in advance to the person in question regarding the following items.
- The intent to share
- The items of personal information being shared
- The names of the joint users of the information
- The purpose of use of the joint users
- The name of the custodian of the personal information in question

The NNTF shall not provide personal information to third parties, except when sharing use as described above or in the following cases:
- Where provision is required pursuant to laws and regulations
- Where necessary to protect human life, health or property and when it is difficult to obtain consent from the person in question
- When particularly necessary to improve public health or to promote the sound development of children and when it is difficult to obtain consent from the person in question
- Where it is necessary to cooperate with the implementation of clerical work stipulated in laws and regulations by a government or local government organization, and where there is a possibility that obtaining consent from the person in question will affect the performance of such clerical work
- After consenting to this policy you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. However, the withdrawal of consent shall not affect the legality of our handling of personal information based on your consent before it was withdrawn.
- The NNTF shall continue to hold personal information for as long as there is a continuing need to do so, and shall promptly delete personal information when it is no longer necessary.
- The NNTF shall keep the content of personal information it holds accurate and as up-to-date as possible. Should an individual or their representative request notification of the purpose of use of retained personal information, disclosure of retained personal information or records of provision to third parties, correction, etc. (correction, addition or deletion) of retained personal information, suspension, etc. (suspension of use or erasure) of use or suspension of provision to third parties (hereinafter referred to as "disclosure, etc."), in accordance with laws and regulations, the NNTF shall perform the necessary investigation without delay, and notify, disclose, correct, or suspend use, etc. based on the results of such investigation and notify the individual in question or their representative to such effect. Please follow the procedure outlined below if you wish to request disclosure or notification of the purpose of use, correction, addition or deletion, suspension of use, erasure or suspension of provision to third parties of personal information held pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Personal information. When filling in a request form for the disclosure of personal information and sending it to the NNTF, you must enclose documents we require to verify your identity or the identity of the person making the request on your behalf. Please note that the person making the request should bear the cost of sending the requested documents, etc. and the fee for "disclosure".

Please enclose a copy of one of the following. (Please enclose copies of two types of document if sending documents that do not include a photograph)

driver's licence, passport, individual number card (excluding part showing the number), alien registration certificate, mariner's pocket ledger, other certificates with a photograph issued by a public agency
Documents without a photograph:
health insurance card, pension book, certificate of residence or certificate of seal registration
