From 26th October, NNT Drama Studio students entered in 2016 will present "After a Sewing Machine Jumped Out of Tomie's Skirt" written by a Japanese playwright MIYOSHI Juro, directed by TANAKA Maiko.
Set in postwar Japan, it is a story of Tomiko(Tomie)'s eventful life.
Tomie, a woman of the street, decides to cut all ties with her current profession and finds a way to earn her living by dressmaking using a sewing-machine she bought with hard-earned money. Once a newspaper journalist exposes her past, however, she was forced to move from one temporary job to another and eventually starts to work at a show tent.

If you are fairly comfortable with the Japanese language, come and watch how Tomie continues to lead her life to the fullest.
"After a Sewing Machine Jumped Out of Tomie's Skirt" runs until the 31st of October.

As the first performance approched, the students of the NNT Drama Studio are absorbed in perfecting the play.
