Opera "A Dream of Armageddon" had its World Premiere
Opera A Dream of Armageddon by FUJIKURA Dai had its world premiere on November 15. This opera is based on a short science fiction story by H.G. Wells written in 1901 which evinces anxiety about how science and technology can lead to world war and mass murder. The composer FUJIKURA Dai and Librettist Harry ROSS boldly transformed this original work into an opera which reflects the modern world as it is today.
All the international creative team including American director Lydia STEIER and cast members came together in Tokyo despite the current difficult situation to present this sensational work. The conductor is our own artistic director ONO Kazushi. Don't miss this chance to see A Dream of Armageddon which will speak to a modern audience.
