"KNOCKING ON THE DOOR" OPERA EXHIBITION in Kyoto (14 Sep. - 5 Dec)
The exhibition will give visitors an opportunity to know more about NNTT and its opera productions by looking at stage photos, costumes and models of the set design.
This year, 10 costumes from NNTT's beloved opera productions such as "Madama Butterfly" and "Die Zauberflöte" are shown at the venue. Also, some historical property of "Madama Butterfly" is exhibited including the original sketch of costume design from in Teatro Alla Scala in 1904, and the costumes worn by Japanese Soprano NAGATO Miho when the opera was performed during & after the WWⅡ.
Besides, you can learn about "Birth and history of Opera" with stage pictures of NNTT productions.
