KATO Ririka, who is to perform in The Antipodes, had a fever and took a COVID-19 test. The test revealed that she is infected with COVID-19. In light of this development, we decided to cancel the preview performances on 3 and 4 April as we are unable to prepare for them. The performances from 8 April will be carried out as planned.

All other members involved in The Antipodes were tested negative for COVID-19 virus. For the performances from 8 April, Marissa will replace KATO Ririka for the time being.

KATO Ririka is undergoing treatment following instructions by the medical institution. We will inform you later about her return to the stage.

Please note that tickets will not be refunded for this cast change.

We, NNTT will continue to prevent the spread of infection in the interests of giving the utmost priority to the safety and security of our patrons, as well as that of our staff and cast members.

Ticket Refund


Patrons who purchased the tickets for the preview performances on 3 and 4 April can receive a refund.
Refund method depends on how you bought your ticket. Please see as follows.

1. By Web Box Office of the New National Theatre, Tokyo

Tickets purchased online will automatically be refunded to your credit card.

2. By telephone or at the Box Office in the theatre.
