As recently announced, the New National Theatre, Tokyo cancelled all performances until April 12 (Sun), in line with requests from the government and other authorities, to help prevent the spread of novel coronavirus. Regrettably, we now also have to cancel the performances of the opera "Les Contes d'Hoffmann" scheduled for April 19-25.

We made the decision to cancel after reviewing the current situation and concluding that it would be difficult to hold the rehearsals starting in early April without worry. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience to all our customers who were looking forward to this production, and thank you for your understanding.

Refund information for purchased tickets will be posted on our website at a later date.

Our production of a Drama producion "Reaction Process" is due to run from 14 April onwards.

We will continue to refer to the instructions and guidance from government-related institutions and relevant information, and notify patrons as soon as possible of our decisions.
