MORIMOTO RyosukeSoloist
MORIMOTO Ryosuke was born in Osaka and trained ballet under TANAKA Toshiyuki. He won 1st prize in the pre-competitive division at the 2006 YAGP New York Finals and 2nd prize in the Classical Dance PDD/Age 3 category at TANZOLYMP in 2013. After studying at Ballettschule des Hamburg Ballett and Staatliche Ballettschule Berlin, he joined Dutch National Ballet Junior Company in 2014. In 2015, he joined the Hungarian National Ballet, promoted to Demi-Soloist in 2018, Grand Sujet in 2019, and Soloist in 2022. In 2020, he was named the company's Best Dancer of the year. He joined the National Ballet of Japan in 2023. His repertory includes Bronze Idol in "La Bayadère", Friends of Hoffmann in "Tales of Hoffmann" and Lead Flowers in "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King". He was promoted to Soloist in 2024.
