HIROKAWA MikuriSoloist
HIROKAWA Mikuri was born in OKAYAMA Prefecture and trained under Tsutsumi Yumiko, Shakuta Tomoji, Mitani Kyozo and Yuki Miho. In 2016, she graduated from New National Theatre Ballet School and joined the National Ballet of Japan. She was promoted to First Artist in 2021 and Soloist in 2023. She made her debut as leading role in "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" in 2024 and later danced leading roles in productions including "La Bayadère" and "Story of a Little Mermaid". Her repertory also includes Canari qui tombent and Sapphire in "The Sleeping Beauty", Pearls in David Bintley's "Aladdin", Cupid in "Don Quixote", Clemence in "Raymonda", Two Courtesans and Hungarian Princess in Peter Wright's "Swan Lake", Three Witches in Will Tuckett's "The Tragedy of Macbeth" and Moth in Frederick Ashton's "The Dream". In 2024, She was awarded Okayama Arts and Culture Award.
