MIZUI ShunsukeFirst Soloist
MIZUI Shunsuke was born in Niigata prefecture. He began his ballet training under WATANABE Tamami and UEDA Megumi at Sado Ballet Friend. After studying at A.M. Students, he went to study at Ballettakademie der Wiener Staatsoper. In 2011, he joined Wiener Staatsballett as an apprentice, then transferred to the Polish National Ballet, where he was promoted to Coryphée in 2016. He danced the Bluebird in The Sleeping Beauty, the Bronze Idol in La Bayadère, and Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet , while also appearing in numerous works by renowned contemporary choreographers. Since 2019, he has joined the Asami Maki Ballet Tokyo, starring in The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, La Fille mal Gardée, and L'Arlésienne. In 2024, he joined the National Ballet of Japan.
